125 Year Old Cobble Hill Brownstone Brick Apartment

About the Space

Quirky and romantic Cobble Hill apartment in a wonderfully timeworn brownstone teeming with character. Infuse the art direction of your production with a distinct Brooklyn bohemian space filled with romantic flourishes and vintage pieces…perfectly imperfect! My decor has influences from the colors and designs of Portugal, Italy, Latin America, and my dreams. The building borders Carroll Gardens and Columbia Waterfront District. It was built in 1901 and has fascinating history. In the 1930s it was a funeral parlor, later on a beauty salon, before finally transforming into a restaurant on the ground floor. I work full time in print & digital media publishing with a hybrid schedule and previously I spent seven years working for Film Festivals, so I dream of movies? I would love to see my space come to life in motion picture or photo shoots. The bistro table and fireplace could easily depict a historic cafe or cozy restaurant dining scene. Street parking is available in the neighborhood, with many local bars, restaurants, cafes, and shops around. The exterior of the building looks a bit industrial (there’s been a restaurant downstairs on the first level for at least ten years, but for the time being it is vacant). The block and surrounding area is studded with gorgeous historic brownstones. My apartment is 1 floor up (walk-up), with a short flight of stairs. No elevator.
