This venue is an incredible experience for anyone who wants to host an event. The art instillations (the cave) is so unique and such a crown piece to the location. The Victorian arcitecture has been modernly updated inside with ample room to host any event. Zandi was incredibly accommodating and very easy to work with. I cannot recommend this space enough!

About Syracuse

Given the nickname of the Crossroads of New York, Syracuse is a city found between two major interstates. This makes the city a key link in transportation routes, and the town also serves as a major metropolitan center. This 3,083 square mile area is composed of gorgeous hills, plains and waterways.

Syracuse is situated between the South shore of Onondaga Lake, which is separated by 30 miles of plains until you reach Lake Ontario. The Finger Lakes and Oneida Lake are also in close proximity to the city, as well as 1,500-foot tall mountains, giving Syracuse a unique and beautiful landscape as well as lots of outdoor activity options.

Locals in Syracuse can enjoy hiking, skiing, snowboarding, boating, swimming and ice skating in the nearby lakes and mountains, as well as a modern and trendy town that offers shopping and fine dining. This city is easily accessible via the interstates, meaning it would be easy and convenient to book a bridal shower venue in Syracuse.

Pros and Cons of Bridal Showers in Syracuse

Syracuse is a lovely location to visit and an optimal place to hold events. However, this city has some notable advantages as well as disadvantages, and you should do some research before deciding to book a Syracuse bridal shower venue.

Advantages

  • Accessible outdoor activities
With so many lakes, parks, fields and mountains, Syracuse is the perfect place to do almost any sort of outdoor exercise. You can swim or go boating in the warmer months, hike in the fall and spring, and in the winter enjoy skiing on the slopes.

  • Great food
Syracuse is a diverse city that is home to many different cultures and their food. In the city, you will find fewer chain restaurants or grocery stores and more markets where you can find fresh food from around the world. Fiding the best caterer or buying food to prep yourself will not be a problem.

  • Shopping
This city is home to several shopping districts including the Destiny USA mall, which is the largest mall in all of New York. In this city, you can shop at big box stores as well as trendy shops. Selecting unique items to make the pre-nuptial party a success will be a breeze.

Disadvantages

  • Cold and snowy winters
Most cities in New York are known to get cold during the winter, and Syracuse is no exception. In fact, this city tends to get more snow than a lot of the United States, so if you are not someone who enjoys the cold season keep this in mind.

  • Crime
Since the city was divided by a major highway, tensions have grown between the two sides. This is mainly because more wealthy neighborhoods are found on one side and most of the lower class and homeless communities live on the other, the latter being about 30% of the city’s population. Choose your venue in a safe area.

  • Public transportation
Syracuse offers only one form of public transportation; the Centro bus, which unfortunately is limited to a small route. If you want to get around some parts of the city, it is important to note that you will need to bring or rent a car. Traffic is not an issue here, so as long as you find a way to get around you will be all set.

  • Rosamond Gifford Zoo
The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is a 43-acre area found in Burnet Park. This attraction offers both indoor and outdoor exhibits, with monkeys, lions, wolves, camels and more amazing animals to see. The zoo is also used as a facility for breeding elephants and tigers.

  • Landmark Theater
Landmark Theater has been an important part of the Syracuse performing arts scene since 1928, as this antique building used to host productions starring professional actors and performers. It has since been added to the National Register of Historic Places and is set to receive several upgrades in the near future.
