I feel like the space looks a little cleaner in the photos than it does in real life. When I walked in there was quite a bit of dust & dirt on the floor. Also, the floors are unfinished (wasn't aware of this). The walls were freshly painted, so that was nice. I don't live downtown & hadn't visited this space before. It is is a really rough area. I was using the space for a photo shoot & felt bad for my clients as there was some obvious drug use going on right outside the doors. Alana was quick to respond to emails & totally great to work with. I guess I just feel like the photos were rather deceiving.

My experience was amazing, from beginning to end Faye was so helpful and quick to respond when booking. Wenona Lodge was the absolute perfect place for the the 30th birthday I threw for my brother recently. The decor, bartender and food were all 10/10, our guests couldn't stop raving about the food! I would definitely book here again for a private, intimate event and would recommend it to anyone as you won't be disappointed!

We looked at quite a few places and then found Waseem's venue which instantly won us over. Tall ceilings, white walls that gave us the creative freedom for lighting and decor, a coat-check area, large washrooms, and beautiful hardwood floors. On top of that, Waseem was responsive, helped us out where ever we needed, was super nice to work with and supported us throughout the process. We're already thinking of our next event at this spot! And during the day, there is ample natural light coming through the windows, so it works for both day and evening events.
