I met Waseem in January 2017 to book the venue for my wedding. Instantly after meeting him I knew that he would take care of my needs. He was super friendly, very professional and gave me all kinds of details regarding the space capacity, Liquor licence and all the extra stuff that I can rent. He was very easy to talk to and was keen to make my experience positive and as easy and smooth as possible. I dealt with him over the span of seven months - whenever I had questions regarding furniture rentals, catering options and how he could accommodate catering without having a kitchen. I felt that I was dealing with a friend or a family member through that seven month time. He always answered his phone, he always had solutions and suggestions.
I was worried about receiving the rented furniture, setting up the place and whether we would have time to do that before the reception. Waseem generously allowed me access to the venue the day before my booking. In addition to this, he handed me the key a week before because he wasn't in town during the weekend of the wedding.
Waseem introduced me to his business partner Mikey. Waseem assured me that Mikey would take care of anything left to do and that he would make himself available on the day in case any surprises came up. I met Mikey at the venue on Friday when he came to set up the in-house sound system that I rented. Mikey was as friendly and professional as Waseem. He set everything up and connected with the DJ to make sure that his equipment was compatible with the system.
The Inner City Record Shop is accessed through the venue. Some might have doubts about the venue because of that. In my experience, Waseem, Mikey and everyone that has access to the space have created a small community that cares for each other and each other's business as it's own. They are amazing. Gary from the record shop is a great guy who was always checking in while we were setting things up for the wedding. He even asked if we needed any help. On the wedding morning, a friend got locked out of the venue and my car keys were locked inside the hall. I called Mikey. Mikey wasn't close by and wouldn't be back in time. Mikey called Gary. Gary came right away to venue and opened it for us.
All in all, my experience was wonderful and I made new friends. I've recommended this location to numerous people who are celebrating milestones and new engagements. I would rent from them for my next event in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful evening at the gallery. The space was clean and spacious, and the back garden was magical: the art space, scent of honeysuckle and sparkling lights made it a night our guests will remember. A lovely gallery.
