About the Space
Milwood Studios is a 3,800 sq ft indoor-outdoor creative space in Venice, Los Angeles, built for photo shoots, video production, workshops, offsites and small events for up to 30 seated or 50 standing. The 780 sq ft daylight studio has high ceilings, concrete floors, a seamless wall, seven color backdrops, a 9' x 20' green screen, natural light throughout the day and full blackout capability. Two private courtyards (a lounge deck and a dining courtyard with a bar) add more looks plus room for breakouts, dinners and talent holding. Included with every booking: lighting and grip (Amaran and Godox kit, C-stands, V-flats, apple boxes), furniture, wardrobe racks, a steamer, a hair and makeup station with two lighted vanity mirrors, Sonos sound, fast Wi-Fi, and a private unit with living room, full kitchen, bedroom and restroom for talent and crew. Gated two-car driveway for easy load-in. Production assistant and camera rentals (including Arri Alexa 35 and Sony FX6) available on request. Minutes from Abbot Kinney and Venice Beach. 4-hour minimum; discounts on 8+ hour bookings.

We recently used Milwood Studios for a fashion/content shoot and had a great experience. The space is super clean, versatile, and really easy to work in. Natural light is solid, the layout makes sense, and load-in/setup was smooth. You can tell it’s a well thought out production space that actually works for creatives. If you’re looking for a photo studio in Los Angeles for fashion shoots or general content creation, this is a great spot. We’ll definitely be back.
