About the Space
I designed my home and its interior. It was completed in 2016. It is on a quiet street in the Westlake Hills. The property is fronted by an elegant white stucco wall. The front yard, adjacent to the home, is xeriscaped with rock features. There are two gates and driveways. The first gate gives access to the house and car port. Beyond the second driveway is a large flat grassy field. The property is peppered with beautiful trees which are lit at night. The glass rear of the house overlooks a wooded peninsula and Barton Creek with spectacular views over the valley. There is a small infinity pool. The front of the house is Spanish Colonial style. Access to the home is via an antique Moroccan gate into a courtyard featuring ancient pillars, a fountain and a fire pit. In contrast, the rear of the home is open plan and ultra modern with concrete and steel. Floor to ceiling windows provide access to glorious views over the greenbelt.

Words cannot adequately describe my experience with Carmel and her extraordinary home. My Fiance Nolen (now husband) and I wanted to have a micro-wedding intimate wedding but knew we didn't want to go the route with a traditional venue or a church. Our photographer stumbled across Carmels captivating home through Giggster and fell in love We decided to meet with Carmel first before reserving the date and as soon as we arrived, both Nolen and I knew this was our spot. Carmel was so welcoming and gave us a lovely tour of her home and was so helpful when it came to helping us organize our thoughts. We didn't have a wedding planner and wanted to avoid anything overly complicated or dramatic. All we needed was the location, wifi and keys to the front door and were able to go from there. Carmel was flexible with how we utilized the hours we reserved and allowed us to set up our ceremony space the night prior to the wedding. This helped us have such a smooth flowing wedding day. On the day of the wedding, we were able to show up, spend the day enjoying the comforts of Carmels home while getting ready and have the most memorable day of our lives. From the impeccable view, the fine details throughout the entire home and overall experience with Carmel made this the best decision we have ever made. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your home as our space to make a memory we will never forget.

Carmel’s property is stunning. I used the space for a private Silk Road event for my private speakeasy club, and I literally did nothing but show up with my cocktail gear and serve my guests. She was flexible, kind, and easy to work with. I will definitely use this property again!

The host and the home are WONDERFUL. Responsive, helpful, super friendly - I could not have asked for a better host. :-) I made use of the home for a photo shoot and it is simply gorgeous. A beautiful, eclectic property that lent itself to many different backdrops. Photos turned out stunning. Highly recommend! Thank you again!!
