About the Space

The description of our property is as follows; We have a 19th century chateau in the 37 Loire Valley, set in 37 hectares of land. The land is a mixture of landscaped gardens, paddocks and fully usable / accessible woodland. The forests have wide bridleways and paths which have the advantage of being accessible by car and of course everywhere is accessible on foot. The entrance to the property is certainly striking, with a long avenue as the entrance lined with beautiful century-old plane trees giving a dramatic and haunting first impression as you can see in the photos. Dare I say, but this is both very “horror film” and romantic.. The layout of the land is both classic and eclectic, with both beautiful English lawns extending over several hectares of "English garden" with beautiful rose gardens of old roses and flower beds, including a glorious integration of trees and shrubs from Japan and Europe including a magnificent Catalpa from India over a hundred years old. The park is also decorated with a beautiful classic castle space in the Le Nôtre style with fine gravel paths, statues and a central stone fountain. Scattered here and there are tables and benches inviting you to relax and relax. appreciation of absolute calm. We also have a magnificent “secret” lake, easily accessible but completely hidden by dense vegetation where it is not uncommon to see deer and / or wild boar cooling off there in addition, of course, to wild ducks and numerous birds which serenade us from morning to evening. The Chateau has beautiful outbuildings dating from the 12th century overlooking a interior courtyard and forming beautiful traditional outbuildings which are about to be renovated to offer additional accommodation. Plus there is a very beautiful and very large hunting lodge, decorated with beautiful period tapestries. The house itself is a four-story period Chateau, and we have 5/6 bedrooms/bathrooms in the main house. The house is finished to a good standard, keeping the characteristics of the traditional castle of course, but also with the integration of all modern comforts such as tv / internet etc.. The floors are a mixture of Versailles parquet and oak parquet strips as well as stone slabs. All the bathrooms are modern, while the bedrooms will have a more traditional charm to properly interpret the very essence of the castle. The property itself completely secluded and private and is located approximately 45mins from Tours between Loches and Amboise. As a bonus of location, we would be able to provide high-level services for the catering and cellar because we have a hotel and wine-growing past in both France and England.
