About the Space

The first shipping container home built in Toronto, this home is a balance of modern minimalism, graced with artistic style. Enter through a shipping container door. Up a flight of stairs, into a light filled living room, featuring floor to ceiling south facing windows, a corten steel fire place, and inviting open concept kitchen and a floating staircase, this space was designed for entertaining, gathering, creating and musing. One flight up is the sleeping quarters, separated by beautiful Udukuri colourful sliding doors, each room has its own unique features. The kid’s bedroom has a monkey bar built into a loft bed. The master bedroom is located in the top shipping container. It features a walk out deck, created within the shipping container doors. The master bath has two skylights, above the shower and the tub, making it a light well year round. As artists and restaurant owners, we built our space to be able to function as a home, but also as, a yoga studio, a meeting room, a gathering area, a place to create, and to host dinner parties, and many life celebrations.
