About the Space

Old Owen Barn, LLC Located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, the rustic 100-year-old barn will stir creativity whether you are a photographer, filmmaker, creative director, producer, designer, painter or writer. A unique setting for photography, filmmaking, music videos, commercials, painting or a writer's inspiration. Originally an old dairy barn, now a creative haven surrounded by 36 acres of open fields and woods. Fill your imagination in the barn, on a path in the woods, on sunlit grass or under an old mossy tree. Rental includes the barn, fields and woods. There are no restrooms on the site. One Honey Bucket is on site, more units/restroom trailers can be brought in. Please contact Host with any questions. Site-visits are welcomed. As this is a unique venue, custom offers depending upon scope of project will be considered. The barn is 31 feet wide & 42 feet long. Lower floor has a cement floor with original whitewashed walls and ceiling. Upper floor has all the original wood flooring, walls, tree poles and ceiling. New, wide sturdy stairs to accommodate heavy equipment to upper floor. Easy movement around barn exterior (no shrubs or structures). Barn is surrounded by approx 30 acres of farmland fields and approx 6 acres of woods with wide walking trails and cleared areas. The woods are a short walk (approx 500 feet) from the barn to the entrance of the woods. Limited vehicles may access the woods. There are no farm animals on the property today. Please let me know if you are interested in bringing your own animal for shooting purposes (horse, dog, cow, etc.). Versatility - go western, spooky, shabby chic, boho, vintage, American farmland, etc. Relic Room -There's a room full of props and relics available for your use - chic it up or down - everything from skulls, chains, western, primitive, rusty to beautiful Linen and woolen fabrics. Depending upon the desired look, some windows are removable. Available are distressed and antique white painted windowpanes. Or go without windowpanes to create the spook. The property is located between Monroe and Sultan just off picturesque U.S. Highway 2. Location is 5 miles east of Monroe and 1 mile west of Sultan. An approximate 45-minute drive from downtown Seattle and an hour drive from SeaTac Airport (adjust some depending upon time of day/traffic). 35-minute drive from Paine Field Airport. Host will be on site at all times to answer questions, assist with compliance with policies and provide assistance as needed.
