Romantic & Rustic European Casita with Breathtaking Light

About the Space

This home boasts has so many beautiful settings from which to photograph and draw inspiration from. One of the features in this space that really stands out from the rest, is the rustic limestone patina on the walls and the light-colored natural stone floors. We consistently hear how incredible the light reflects on skin tones in this space. Reminiscent of old Europe, the walls have a soft matte, hand-plastered finish that provides a gentle texture behind one’s subject and softly reflects light throughout the space creating almost a soft box effect. The layout is very open and great for movement shots. The interior is minimalistic and refined. There are so many pockets to capture from. The owner is a retired editorial and fashion photographer and very much designed this space to be an ideal location for photographers. The house itself looks like a styled shoot set. With that in mind, we welcome guests to enjoy being creative with the space. Outside there is a half acre of yard. There is a nice covered patio with seating for 7 and a patio dining area for up to 12. Linen floor length curtains for the patio can be found in the chest. If you would like to use them you are welcome to put them up as well. There are rustic stools, antique iron chairs and many other items that can be used throughout the house as additional props for clients. We again welcome guests to enjoy the creative potential this space offers! We do ask in return, that any items or furniture moved and or used, be appropriately cared for and at the commencement of time, be returned to the original placement. In addition we also have a floral installation studio available for an additional price, along with professional lighting equipment and even a fog machine. No staging area available Some rooms are off-limits for shooting All areas shown in the listing are available to you. We keep the doors closed in all other areas (off limits). Please note: there is a 2hr min booking for this location. Any requests under 2 hours minimum will not be accepted. A site manager will be onsite during all bookings. They will remain out of your way and happy to assist if you have any questions or requests. NOT ALLOWED /// smoking, drug use, adult, pornographic or sexual content! Bridal boudoir or tasteful intimates ARE PERMITTED, if the photographer’s instagram or website is provided and approved. (It’s a truly great space for these!) With that said, the door clause, (below) and the presence of a site manager needs to be understood by all parties involved before booking! For boudoir we will ensure the site manager is female. GET CREATIVE// We welcome guests to be as creative as they like with this space, it very much is designed to be a photographers dream set up. Furniture and decor items are allowed to be moved or used as props. If you have a specific need prop-wise the site manger will likely know what’s available. We do ask that guests treat the space respectfully, return items back to their original spot and leave rooms in the condition you found them in. DOORS// All doors that are closed are off-limit areas. These need to remain closed. Likewise, to prevent theft and continue to allow the use of this space as we have, we require ALL OPEN DOORS, to remain open for the duration of your shoot. (Bathrooms obviously are the exception) ***For boudoir clients, please make sure you/ your clients are not going to be uncomfortable with this rule!
