About the Space

We're new to Giggster, but we've been in business since 2015! We are a pro studio facility housed in a historic Capitol Hill Carriage House. Perfect for documentary interviews, lifestyle shoots, and podcasts. Clients include CBS 60 Minutes, the BBC, NBC, ABC, PBS, Fox, Frontline, National Geographic, and Discovery, as well as various production companies from the United States and abroad. Designed by a director of photography, we provide multiple looks in one space for your production, saving time and money. See the images from some of our clients' past shoots. All listed equipment/backdrops/props are always in the studio ready for you. • Three parking spots feet from the door. Fast load-in. PMs, this saves on overtime! • Profoto Lighting package for photography • Multiple backgrounds 12ft x 10ft (Two of each backdrop; see bottom of photo gallery) • Furniture and props (nearly everything is on wheels) • Sonex and GIK acoustic panels on the studio ceiling/walls for studio-like audio quality. • Virtually silent heating, near-silent air-conditioning below a human whisper (27db) • Blazing-fast fiber optic internet, approximately 800 Mbps Up/Down -- We do not guarantee these speeds; if Verizon has a bad one, we all do. We also have an automatic backup 5G connection; see note below* • The studio is 34ft x 37 ft. and has 10 ft. ceilings. See our floor plan in the image gallery. • The studio is not soundproof, but we are in a very quiet interior courtyard. • The studio must be reset to its default layout at the end of your shoot. There will be no staff at the studio. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁 & 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘄 = 𝟮𝟬 *We cannot guarantee our internet connection (it has never failed), but if you have a critical streaming shoot, please ensure you have a backup hotspot. If, for any reason, both our Verizon fiber and our failover self-switching AT&T 5G backup fail, or our hardware does (such as a router failure), there is nothing we can do. Why are we mentioning this? We are mentioning this for liability reasons, and we want your streaming shoot to be a success with multiple back-ups!
