Castello di Giomici in Umbria, Italy, is a breathtaking gem perched on a hill, about ten minutes from Valfabbrica. While easily accessible, I wouldn't recommend a taxi due to cost. The castle, with its centuries-old central tower, is an awe-inspiring spectacle. Exploring the grounds, you can hike and relax in an atmosphere steeped in history. The hotel offers a limited number of rooms, divided between the castle and nearby buildings. The castle rooms are immaculately clean, featuring canopy beds with mosquito nets, modern bathrooms, TVs, desks, and antique furniture. The tranquility is unmatched, with no traffic noise ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. An outdoor terrace offers stunning views, perfect for enjoying drinks. The climb up the tower provides a panoramic view of Umbria. Dinner, served in four traditional Umbrian courses, was outstanding. The dining experience was lively, yet the rooms remained quiet. Special mention to Marco and the staff for their exceptional service. The owner's hospitality was equally commendable. This was, without doubt, the best accommodation on the Cammino di San Francesco. Highly recommended, and I will definitely return

A medieval castle on the top of a hill! One of the most incredible experience I have ever had! It's magical! The environment of this place travels you centuries back in time! The renovation of the castle is absolutely fantastic! The rooms are clean, beautiful and have all the needed amenities! Don't miss this unique experience!
