Built in 1880, this beautiful Italianate mansion in Abilene, Kansas looks just like the Addams Family mansion, and has been the set for two independent horror films. Perfect for period movies/photo shoots or gothic/vampire/horror films. The owner is a former director, producer and SAG/Equity actor who understands production needs and supports The Arts. And YES, the car in the photo is the owner's and is also available. With a copper-plate Second Empire Mansard roof, iron railing, and a working weather vane, the property features nearly an acre of land with plenty of parking on the outside and $750,000 worth of incredible, intricate wallpaper on the inside. Each room is different and two rooms feature coal-burning fireplaces. Most are Victorian, Gothic or Steampunk, but the basement features a "Zombie Apocalypse" room with Fallout 3/4/New Vegas decor (perfect for Cosplay photo shoots), a creepy old coal boiler, cement or brick floors, and the actual dugout where the first Abilene settlers lived.
