This custom-built, Scandinavian-inspired traditional home is located in Lisle, Illinois, 25 miles west of Downtown Chicago. Built in 2001, the home has recently been fully renovated. The house includes a main residence and in-law residence, combined to total 7,889 square feet of living space. The main residence features an oversized kitchen with 2 large islands and multiple cooking areas, 3 fireplaces, two of them double-sided, a grand foyer with an elegant open staircase, living room, dining room, family room, sunroom, media room, home office, 5 bedrooms, 4 ½ bathrooms, a partially-finished basement with full bar, screening area, game room and nearly 3,000 square feet of unfinished basement space with a workshop. The in-law suite is connected by a spacious mudroom and back staircase located off of the 4 car garage. It includes a full kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Featuring 9 foot ceilings and custom millwork throughout, the home additionally contains newly-refinished natural hardwood floors, gorgeous transom windows above every door, and ample natural light from windows lining each space. The homeowner has a fine art background, having worked in Chicago art galleries and The Art Institute of Chicago for over a decade. Original fine art, mid-century designer furnishings and unique vintage collectibles reflect the creative background and unique aesthetic of the owner. The home resides on a beautiful .75 acre lot in a quiet residential neighborhood filled with wooded trails and surrounded by forest preserve just outside of Naperville city limits. The mature tree-lined property has been professionally landscaped, and includes a fenced back yard with a large paver patio, outdoor sitting area, koi pond with waterfall and large front porch. Although grand in scale, the home feels cozy and warm due in part to the fine details, purposeful decor and exceptional design which make each space function efficiently for this family of 7. Interior security camera is located inside of the dog crate in the sun room, and exterior cameras are located at the front door, on the front porch, on the west side of the house along the driveway, on the back patio and in the back yard, and in the garage interior and sunroom, and all will remain on during the shoot. Depending on the scale and scope of the production, additional fees may apply, including site rep to permit, manage the location, and remain on site during the shoot. We require appropriate floor and wall protection prior to shoot days (method and scope to be discussed with homeowner). Productions are responsible for disposing of their trash off site. For productions that will be recording audio, or involve other circumstances that require the homeowners to be off-site during filming, there will be a $250/day relocation fee added on to the rental fee.
