Spirit Camp is a magical retreat sanctuary in the coastal redwoods of Northern California. Located on the Mendocino coast arguably one of the most enchanting coastlines in the world. Camp feels remote with starry night skies and open meadows surrounded by majestic redwoods. Within minutes from camp, you can explore a number of bluff-lined beaches, rivers, and state parks with beautiful hiking trails. We are 12 minutes from the historic town of Mendocino. In town you'll find two organic grocery stores, delicious restaurants, cafes, and quaint shops. For your rental, you’ll have private access to: *1500 sq ft Heartwood Lodge for dining, dancing, and group activities (fits 25 yoga mats or 35 seats in circle) *Lodge industrial kitchen for cooking group meals and storing groceries *Light-filled 500 sq ft Sanctuary for introspective or relational healing work (fits 12 yoga mats or 20 seats in circle) *3 cabins that sleep 5-7 each with queen beds, twins and bunkbeds *Private Water Tower room with queen bed *Rustic Bathhouse with 2 hot showers, 5 stalls and 4 sinks *1/4 acre Magic Meadow for outdoor dining, campfires, and group activities *1/4 acre Campsite Meadow for 10+ tents *Rugged trail through 27 acres of redwood forest Included Amenities: In the lodge we have an upright piano, JBL sound system, disco ball, hue lighting, and a dozen comfortable floor chairs. There’s also a sitting area for lounging, reading and group games, a small library of books, and two large redwood tables for indoor dining. The industrial kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and dinnerware for up to 40 people, has 3 industrial fridges, 1 industrial freezer, 6 top stove with griddle and 2 ovens, dish bussing sinks, coffee maker, and hot water kettle. We have folding tables available to set up for welcoming guests, meal buffets, coffee/tea, and dish bussing. Food and beverages are not included and must be provided by your own hired chef. We know great local chefs we can put you in contact with. Indoor dining can accommodate up to 16 with an extra table for 6 more. Four picnic tables can be used in the garden for communal dining up to 40. All cabins come with cozy cotton sheets and linen bedding. Campsites require bringing your own tents and camping gear. Available Additional Services: * Transformative Breathwork facilitated by Nathaniel and/or Julian can be arranged privately, in pairs, or for groups up to 40 people. Sessions can last between 1-3 hours depending on the group size and intention. * Sound Meditation facilitated by Julian can be arranged privately, in pairs, or groups up to 40 people for 1-3 hours depending on the group size and intention. * Vedic Meditation training course can be arranged with Julian privately, in pairs, or small groups for four 2-hour sessions over 2-4 days. * Camp Hiking Tour led by Julian. On this 1-mile loop traversing the redwood forest and fern gully, you’ll learn about the local ecology and develop a closer connection with the land. The trail is rugged. * Fire Tending by our staff throughout the duration of your stay is an additional service. This includes starting fires, stacking logs, and managing the wood burning stoves so that you don’t have to. * Catering can be arranged directly with a local chef who we can put you in contact with. * Massages can be arranged directly with a local massage therapist who we can put you in contact with.
