About the Space

Historic 1760 Colonial Stone Farmhouse, with grand proportions and high ceilings, served as the meeting site of the first New York State Senate meeting. Located less than two-hours from NYC in Marbletown (Kingston), NY, and situated on six acres of land, this home has maintained many of its original features, including chestnut rough-hewn beams, multiple Dutch doors, original wide plank flooring, original deep windows, and strap hinges/hardware. The details, however, are updated for modern comfort and include an updated gourmet kitchen with commercial Viking stove, radiant heat floors, Bosch refrigerator and dishwasher. Numerous large windows bathe the interior with natural light. The house includes four working fireplaces (with the potential for five), as well as a wood burning stove. With approximately 6,000 square feet of living space, six bedrooms and four full baths, there’s plenty of space to accommodate crew, wardrobe, cast and other members of a production team. The third floor has been transformed into an expansive open loft with gleaming original hardwood wood floors and vaulted ceilings, which can be used for filming or as a production office. Walls can be painted or covered, and surface alterations are permitted. The six additional buildings located on the property, including a stone smokehouse, chicken coop which was converted to a studio with electric capabilities, wooden sheds, and an over 4,000 square foot historic Dutch vernacular barn with a loft, stalls and stables, offers numerous creative and physical opportunities. Each of these additional buildings may be altered to suit production needs. Also located on the property is a heated saltwater, in-ground swimming pool. Adjacent to the property is the historic Marbletown Reformed Dutch Church and Cemetery, establish in 1744. Production teams are welcome to reside in the farmhouse overnight during filming.
