This beautiful historic camelback is located in the lively Mid City area on the Canal Streetcar line, a 15-minute streetcar ride to the French Quarter. The art-filled home includes 5 bedrooms (7 beds plus a queen size futon), 2 living rooms, 2 dining rooms, 3.5 baths, a back balcony, back patio, and front porch. The charm of the building, the convenient location, and friendly, attentive, knowledgeable hosts make us the perfect place for your group to fall in love with New Orleans. The Space The Okra Inn is a historic, renovated camelback cottage in the historic Mid City area on the Canal Street Car line. The Inn features 12 and 14 foot ceilings throughout, original pocket doors, beautiful crown molding, two living rooms, two dining rooms (with seating for up to 16), three and a half bathrooms, a front porch, back balcony, back patio and our own blend of artsy charm. The house contains two kitchens stocked with cooking basics. This listing is a whole-home rental, so your group will have full access to the space. Guests have full access to the house and back yard. The spaces available include: *2 Living rooms *2 Dining rooms (with seating for 16) *Front porch for stoop sitting *Back balcony for star gazing and morning coffee *3.5 baths *2 Kitchens including: *2 Full size stoves/ovens *2 Fridges *Coffee maker *2 Toasters *Pots, pans, utensils, glassware, etc. Other than in an emergency, we will always ask for permission before entering the space while you are there. We do not allow guests to use grills or other open flames, for safety reasons. Smoking is not allowed in the house but is allowed on front and back porches. Fire arms are strictly forbidden. Important information We do feel strongly about being respectful neighbors. We ask that guests watch noise levels outside of the home after 11pm. This is especially important in the back patio/balcony area, which is close to neighbor's bedrooms.
