About the Space

My home is situated on a fairly quiet street a skip & hop away from inner city & Downtown Houston, Texas. Located within outskirts of Independence Heights area. A very short drive to the Heights & Oak Forest. Please note, with it being an older neighborhood central & convenient to many Houston attractions, being inner city, we have the dynamic of a transitional urban community. Friendly neighbors along with mixed use locality. No zoning laws. There are convenience stores in the area that attract foot traffic around the area, with no direct impact to us or any of our guests. This is an up & coming historically disinvested neighborhood withstanding revitalization due to its proximity to many of the great things city has to offer. My home was built in the 1950's & has been extensively renovated, you will be quite pleased with it & the 4 vehicle covered driveway parking. Out front is seating area with fire pit which may be used but must be cleaned afterwards & you may use your own wood or we provide at an additional cost. Setup up with relaxation in mind & escaping the woes of busy lives. There are no televisions in bedrooms, only the living room to accommodate a restful ambiance. Each bedroom offers quiet space & reading nooks as well. There is Wi-Fi high speed connectivity to be able to connect if you wish to on personal devices as well as make use of the smart TV in living room. An additional backroom has been added with board games & such. These may be used with care. Beyond this room is the fully-fenced backyard. There is a nice size table for 6 persons & a small BBQ pit to enjoy the great outdoors. The pit must be cleaned after use & you must have your own supplies. Two large pecan trees offer shade, except for on winter days & if lucky, on good seasons, you may join in on picking up pecans. There is also a rear small storage shed remains locked. The home décor is simple yet eclectic. Since house is ranch style, I have combined both an old & new feel that spills out from the inside out. Remaining neutral with pops of color. Barn door bathroom encloses a small but luxury inspired space with a stand up shower w/bench seating. Only restroom amenities provided , no use of shower. White paneled doors lead the way into the bedrooms. Tile floor with a wood plank look all through the home for ease of maintaining clean. Plenty of natural sunlight throughout home with exception of the back room which the floor is tiled differently but still in the neutral shades of gray. Although the home does have a covered driveway, there is also plenty of off-street parking available where you can park your car free of charge being mindful of neighbors. Also, in being respectful to our neighbors, quiet time begins at 9 PM through 7 AM. There is NO SMOKING of any type allowed in the home or around the premises. Also, no pets allowed. My home is perfect setting & background for photos, ads, filming, and intimate events. Vendors may be contracted & documentation must be provided as well as form a part of total headcount. The home is not to exceed the guest total at any time. The person on booking responsible for all persons on premises and relaying house policies to each. Set up & break down of events must take place during time home is booked. No decor to attach to home, cause any puncture/tear/ or permanent change to home. Please discuss your plans prior to booking to avoid any miscommunication and/or out of pocket expenses due to negligence.
