About the Space

My home is situated on a fairly quiet street even though it’s a skip and a hop away from the inner city and Downtown Houston, Texas. Located within the outskirts of Independence Heights area. A very short drive to the Heights and Oak Forest, and if you are up to venturing via our public transit, walk over to Metro rail nearby and head to the East End, a short rail ride! Please note, with it being an older neighborhood central and convenient to many Houston attractions, being inner city, we do have the dynamic of a transitional urban community. Friendly neighbors along with mixed use locality. Houston has no zoning laws. There are convenience stores in the area that attract foot traffic around the area, with no direct impact to us or any of our guests. This is an up and coming historically disinvested neighborhood withstanding revitalization due to its proximity to many of the great things this city has to offer. My home was built in the 1950's and has been extensively renovated, you will be quite pleased with it and the 4 vehicle covered driveway parking. Setup up with relaxation in mind and escaping the woes of busy lives. There are no televisions in the bedrooms, only the living room to accommodate a restful retreat. Each bedroom offers quiet space and reading nooks as well. There is Wi-Fi high speed connectivity to be able to connect if you wish to on your personal devices as well as make use of the smart TV in the living room. An additional backroom has been added for family/friend time to take you back to the days of playing board games and connecting with your loved ones with friendly competition. Beyond this room is the fully-fenced backyard. There is a nice size picnic table for 6 persons and a small BBQ pit to enjoy the great outdoors. Two large pecan trees offer shade, except for on winter days and if lucky, on good seasons, you may join in on picking up pecans. There is also a rear small storage shed decorated in a manner to look like a she-shed of sorts. The home décor is simple yet eclectic. Since the house is ranch style, I have combined both an old and new feel that spills out from the inside out. Remaining neutral with pops of color. Barn door bathroom encloses a small but luxury inspired space with a stand up shower and bench seating. White paneled doors lead the way into the bedrooms. Tile floor with a wood plank look all through the home for ease of maintaining clean. Plenty of natural sunlight throughout the home with the exception of the back room which the floor is tiled differently but still in the neutral shades of gray. Out front, my home is partially fenced with a nice sitting area in the yard for chatting & cool days, enjoy sitting around a fire (you must purchase your own wood at local grocery stores or if told in advance, I can purchase and have ready for a small fee) and a small porch to enjoy coffee in the morning. Although the home does have a covered driveway, there is also plenty of off-street parking available where you can park your car free of charge. Also, in being respectful to our neighbors, quiet time begins at 9 PM through 7 AM and there is NO SMOKING of any type allowed in the home or around the premises. Also, no pets allowed in on the interior of the home. My home is the perfect setting and background for photos, ads, filming, and intimate events.
