About the Space

Welcome to the Penthouse Studio! This studio comes with tons of lighting options and modifiers, a dedicated grip/gaffer, furniture, props, and multiple shootable areas both indoors and out. Our studio has 4 completely unique sections: 1) The Penthouse Loft: an upscale, industrial open-concept loft apartment that boasts of its exposed brick, white brick, glass block windows. This section offers 5 unique, shootable areas; a living room, a bedroom, a home office, reading chairs and dining room area. This section is perfect for indie filmmakers, photoshoots or higher end music videos. Rather than trying to figure out how to light an AirBnb, you can rest assured that we can accomplish any lighting look with 36 different lights in this one section of the studio. On the ceiling grid, there are three Nanlite Forza 500s, three (8ft) RGB / special fx Nanlite Pavotube60Xs, four RGB / special fx Nanlite Forza60Cs, three RGB / special fx Nanlite Mixpanels, twelve RGB / special fx Nanlite PavoBulbs in fixtures, two bi-color Nanlite Forza60Bs, four RGB (4ft) Nanlite Pavotubes, and four RGB (2ft) Nanlite Pavotubes. On the ground, we have the Nanlux Evoke1200 to light anything needed. 2) The Penthouse White Box: an all white room that provides different looks and textures within, offering two parallel sheetrock walls and a white brick wall with freshly painted red water line pipe. This section has a total of 12 (4ft) RGB / special FX tube lights to bring any look to life. On the ceiling there are four tube lights evenly spaced horizontally for an even overhead, four tube lights coming down vertically from the ceiling in all four corners of the area, and four tube lights on stands with batteries. We also provide a 2x1 RGB / special FX panel to use as a main key light. This section can be used for anything from creative photo shoots to performance scenes in a music video. This space could also be a great area to do any kind of custom set design you need for your project. 3) The Penthouse Lounge: a blacked out area with magnetic walls throughout. In one section of the lounge, there is a royal blue couch with interchangeable greenery, 8 RGB / special fx tube lights on the wall, 2 standing lamp fixtures with RGB / special fx bulbs in them, and hanging light fixtures with RGB / special fx bulbs and a 1x1 RGB / special fx key light. In the other section of the lounge, there is a section with two white patent leather swivel chairs, with an RGB / special fx overhead, key and fill light options. This section is great for a club scene, performance scene or luxurious lounge setting. We've also recently used this area for several luxe photoshoots. 4) The Penthouse Rooftop: a 900sf location with views both north and south. The open space gets tons of natural light and is secluded enough to provide a more private/controlled outdoor experience. A rooftop scene always adds great value and its use is super multifaceted. Great for film, music videos or photo shoots. If you are looking for a higher-end, all-inclusive space with multiple shootable areas both indoors and out, you've found what you've been looking for.
