About the Space
*Please note that the published rate is for exclusive use of the space with a minimum of 8-hour rental. If you want to rent a portion of the space or non-exclusive use of the entire gym, you can reach out directly to us here at Giggster. Located within the iconic brick building, our indoor climbing and fitness facility offers a striking industrial backdrop for film, television, photo shoots, brand activations, and private events. The space is housed inside a historic brick structure originally built in 1903 as the Edison Electric Steam Power Plant and later operated as a Pabst Blue Ribbon brewery from 1948-1979 before being converted into live/work artist lofts in the early 1980s. The building retains its dramatic industrial character, with exposed brick, expansive interiors, and soaring ceilings that create a visually compelling environment with authentic Los Angeles history embedded in the walls. Today the space operates as a full-scale indoor rock climbing and fitness facility that blends raw architectural texture with modern athletic infrastructure. The climbing terrain includes tall rope walls reaching up to approximately 45 feet, offering dynamic vertical visuals ideal for production. The gym supports top rope and lead climbing as well as auto-belay systems, allowing for flexible filming setups and varied action sequences. A dedicated bouldering area provides lower, highly textured climbing walls with diverse angles and movement options, creating visually engaging scenes for both athletic performance and lifestyle storytelling. Beyond climbing, the venue includes a comprehensive fitness loft with treadmills, free weights, hangboards, rings, and strength training equipment. A separate yoga and movement room provides a quieter, adaptable space suitable for wellness shoots, workshops, or breakout areas during events. The facility also features tension boards and additional training walls that appeal to serious climbers and add further depth to the setting. Common areas throughout the gym offer space for staging interior scenes, interviews, or social gatherings, while locker rooms equipped with showers and saunas support longer production days and wellness-oriented events. The combination of historic industrial architecture and active athletic energy makes the space well suited for commercial productions, branded content, editorial shoots, television, film, private events, team-building experiences, and corporate buyouts. The layout allows for partial rentals of specific areas or full facility buyouts depending on production needs. All production and event activity must remain contained within the interior of the building; exterior filming or staging outside the historic Brewery structure is not permitted. This is a distinctive Los Angeles location that pairs authentic early 20th-century architecture with a modern climbing and fitness environment, offering both visual impact and functional versatility for a wide range of creative projects and events.
