About the Space
This historical saloon/inn in the Sierra Foothills of Central California has many stories to tell and it wants to include yours as well! It is both famous and infamous in the area, but it sat empty and unused for over a decade. One of its best features is the one hundred foot long and twelve foot wide porch on the building's west side. The total square footage of the saloon and rooms is 4200, plus there is a 3000 sqft basement. The saloon itself is about 900 sqft and the 5 rooms range from 360 to 900. There is a commercial copper hood in the kitchen and an old walk-in fridge. The back of the property is like a little light forest with mostly oaks of several species and sizes, some elders, pines, willows, California buckeye and different shrubs, as well as a seasonal creek. There are also some areas of grass fields and a few small fruit trees. A 1974 Silver Streak 30 foot motorhome and an early 70's International Harvester tractor with a loader and a backhoe, an outdoor bathtub and a collection of claw foot tubs, a couple of dilapidated small sheds and a chicken/rabbit coop also dot the property. The inside of the Saloon is being used for furniture storage and can be emptied on request. The same goes for the 4 rooms on the same level as the Saloon. The upstairs room used to be 3 rooms and is under construction with most interior walls removed, leaving an open 900 sqft space. The roofs above this and the other rooms are accessible, with the top roof offering a limited 360º view of the surrounding hills, mountains and valley, with trees obstructing part of it. The whole building has a basement underneath, due to it being on a slope. The height goes from 5 1/2 to about 10 feet, with most of the basement plenty high for people to stand. There are wooden posts throughout the basement, several access doors from the back of the building, some with glass, a trap door and stair leading down from the saloon area, plus an area with a wooden platform, and it's all being guarded by bats.
