Rancho Santa Clara del Norte is a Mexican land grant, dated 1837, located 50 miles North of Los Angeles, in Saticoy. The property has been loved and cared for by our family since 1860. There is 1250 acres of agricultural properties, consisting of pastureland, citrus and avocado groves, and row cropland. There is a 7,000 sq ft historic Georgian mansion, consisting of well proportioned interior spaces and an elegant bifurcated stair. There is 5 acres of grounds which host a varied plant collection consisting of over 6,300 trees and plants from over 600 unique species. The grounds are arranged into 11 various gardens, consisting of a Palmetum (palm garden), a"Stumpery" (a shade garden molded by 125 stumps and logs from which ferns, and other shade plants thrive), a rose garden, a white garden, a dry garden and a water garden. There are also bee habitat gardens and corridors which support 126 species of native bees found in our pastureland.
We have seldom offered this location before, but circumstances have recently changed and we are interested in doing so now.
