Historic 160 year-old farmhouse and barn on 34 acres with a stream. The farmhouse features a large wrap-around porch, 3 fireplaces, 12 foot ceilings in four of the six rooms and wood floors. Enter the side door and you’ll see clapboard on one wall that was once the exterior of the house. From the old tin can lids used to patch holes in walls and ceilings to the compartments built under the floors to hide valuables to the pass through to feed hobos off nearby trains, this house is breaming with history. The grounds include a chicken coup and shed. The barn was restored in 2010 and along with the house was accepted to the prestigious Alabama Register of Landmarks & Heritage. It has a loft and 3 halls. The main hall features the original wood corrals. Behind the barn are wooded hills with a natural stream. The house and barn can be booked separately.
