From Dwell Magazine: Built in 1916, the this House in San Francisco offers a striking English-style grand hall. Just one year after completing the Palace of Fine Arts for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, legendary architect Bernard Maybeck set out to design what would become another one of the city's architectural treasures. Honoring some of the principles Maybeck helped define for the Arts and Crafts movement, the three-story home effortlessly blends elegant features of English and Japanese influence with meticulously crafted wooden details. The space would work well for still or video shoots. There is also a guest house for crew, makeup, etc. *****Please note that the furniture is slightly different from that depicted in some of the pictures.
