About the Space

Ponyboy boasts the most popular dance and live music destination in all of Brooklyn. It’s gold rimmed open stage spills out into a wooden dance floor, surrounded by elevated green velvet booths designed by Kim Mupangilai. Centered above the dance floor is a pitched wood ceiling angled toward a large square skylight which provides ample natural light for daytime shoots and classic stereo surround sound. The open kitchen is adorned with a 1950s “Crazy Quilt” rainbow 4x4 inch tile design, inspired by William Porter Tile Company from Hollywood, California with adjacent yellow velvet booths and and two gold rim rounded bars. The ceilings in the bar room are egg white 1930s Bowery tin and match the smooth white walls throughout. The private room is adorned with a hand painted Cherry Blossom tree with wrap around Ocean Breeze blue walls and a long bright pink velvet booth bench. The tables are square white marble, the chairs mid century pink, and accordion windows open to wide to Manhattan Avenue. Once again, the private room offers sincere natural daylight. This location is the new Brooklyn.
