This spot definitely oozes charm and has a vintage vibe. Painted knotty pine walls and lots of built ins give lots of character. Using some more modern touches in colors and textures keep it from feeling too outdated, but most of the furnishings and decor are true vintage or antique pieces (not faux vintage!) The home was built circa 1952. There are many built ins to add to the character of this little gem. It's hard not to be taken back to another time! The large yard has a park like setting and a sweet cottage garden along the smaller fenced section. The property is registered as a wildlife habitat and parts are left a little wild for that purpose, with goals of nurturing more native plants and wildflowers. The back of the yard butts up to a section of brush that makes it feel very private and as though you are on the edge of the woods. (Property line ends at the brush line). There are very tall old trees that lend shade and history. One oak has been estimated to be as old as 300 years! The finished attic space is a little quirky, and the stairs up to it are more narrow and steep than modern codes would allow. It may limit the ability to get large items in or out of the space. I have a lot of different blankets for the beds as well as throws. Many many pillows. We can dress them to your preference for a more tailored look to your scene.
