About the Space

Charming 1920s family home which could be anywhere in America. Oak trees, rock garden, white picket fence. Stone foundation and chimney with wood siding and many windows. Detached carriage-house style garage with side patio and front and back yard spaces. Lots of character inside and out. Quiet Altadena neighborhood with friendly neighbors. We are new to Giggster, but home has been used for several productions in past. House has old pipes - please plan portapotties for crew.

    Kara and her family are amazing! The home is so beautiful and has a perfect backyard layout tucked away for catering/testing/EQ needs. The neighborhood is great and everyone was super respectful. If you are recording sound outside just know that the landscaping sound from streets over will pick up - but honestly not bad at all. Also, lots of peacocks in the area :)

    Kara and her family were lovely. The house is incredibly photogenic (both interiors and exteriors) and the whole process of shooting there was very easy. Would highly recommend shooting here.

    Filming at Kara's was a great experience! She has a lovely home, and so easy to work with. She is very responsive and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and looks like anywhere USA. We had a crew of 30+ and her backyard provided plenty of space for our needs. Plan to rent a restroom if you have more than about 10-15 people.
