About the Space

Perfect open outdoor space to host a small event, a workshop, a team outing, a yoga class, outdoor photography, a kid's birthday party, or simply enjoy the feeling of having your own backyard. The majority of the 3 600 sqft backyard (90 ft xs 40 ft) is a rectangular open grassy area that allows you to adjust it to your needs in a functional way. Two large trees and a shed at the far back of the yard create a peaceful environment and a closeness to nature. The concrete patio offers a sitting, cooking or equipment installation area. Feel free to bring and set-up your own furniture, canopies and outdoor accessories (e.g. chairs, tents, hamacs, tables, projectors, etc) We are happy to share our beautiful backyard space with you. As with anything, we appreciate all guests to be respectful of timing, cleanliness, and all the lovely things that make our space enjoyable. When inquiring to book Please send the following info: - Request to book (fill in the times and dates for faster bookings) - Intended use of our backyard, i.e. type of function - Number of people you plan to have in our backyard at any given time - Average age of attendees - Demographic (i.e. families with kids, young professionals, photography crew, etc) When answering these questions, please also confirm that you understand that this is not the event space for your frat, drunken escapades, or drinking games. We are open to hosting a casual bbq with friends, but our backyard is not suited if you are looking for a place to throw a bender. Please read our entire description and rules where what you may and may not do is outlined. Guest limitations Maximum guests limited to 15. Pricing The posted rates reflect basic events of up to 15 people. Rates will be discussed and adjusted for more elaborate events upon request. Quick list of amenities - Residential backyard with 2 000 sqft of fully open grassy land to use as needed - 1 parking spot in the driveway and free street parking available - Access to a bathroom during your rental period - Patio seating area with couch for 4-6 people - BBQ with propane tank - 10 ft umbrella - Sunbed - Electricity - Water and water hose Available hours 7 days a week 8:00 to 21:00 (7 hours max for a daily rental) Prices, booking and cancellation Hourly: 80 CAD / hour Minimum booking: 3 hours weekly and monthly: not available Security deposit: 200 CAD Free cancellation up to 7 days in advance 50 CAD fee for any cancellation between 7 days and 2 days before your event 50% of your booking fee for any cancellation less than 2 days before your event 50 CAD fee for rescheduling because of weather up to 24 hours before your event Rules - Alcohol permitted - Catering allowed - Small pets like cats and small dogs are allowed provided they do not damage the yard or furniture and that you pick-up after them - Photography and videography allowed - You are responsible to clean-up before you leave and take any garbage with you. We appreciate the space being set back to how you received it - Late night parties are not permitted - Smoking is not allowed - Private invitation events only. All event must have a private guest list. You are not allowed to host events open to the general public. Only to your peer group. - Public ticket sales and performances are not allowed - Minimum age to book is 25. You must provide ID to verify - All private events should keep reasonable volume and be respectful to our rules and neighbors.
