This space is AMAZING! We used the hospital room / waiting room setup. The staff was friendly and helpful. The space was clean, cleared, and ready for us to set up for filming. And there was plenty of space in the adjacent studios for overflow equipment and crew. We will definitely be booking here again.

About Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA, has a big personality that often gives it a starring role in Silver Screen productions! La La Land is strategically located near the Pacific Ocean, San Fernando Valley, and Santa Monica Mountains. A Southern California metropolis, L.A. is the state's most populous and second-most populated in the nation.

Living in the City of Angels gives you the rare opportunity to be part of a community of people originally from 140 different countries. As culturally diverse as its population, there's always something to discover around town. Often called Hollywood, Los Angeles has a storied history as a mecca for musicians, actors, and filmmakers.

It's the backdrop for hundreds of TV shows and movies annually, with some of the most picturesque filming locations. Clinics and emergency rooms double as some of the unique production settings in L.A. Explore the hospital locations in Los Angeles for your insurance commercials, urgent care infomercials, or neurosurgery documentaries.

Why Los Angeles is the Best Destination for Hospital Filming

Los Angeles, CA, is the center of Hollywood and headquarters of five major studios, including Paramount Pictures. Tinseltown is the backdrop for numerous medical films, besides churning award-winning pictures like Chinatown, Nightcrawler, and L.A. Confidential. La La Land makes it possible to produce educational, instructional, and dramatized medical videos, thanks to these merits:

The Sunny LA Weather
Los Angeles enjoys Southern California weather, with 263 sunny days on average, mild winters, and dry summers. Natural light is an asset to filmmaking, and the sunny weather combined with the multiple windows found in most clinics supports year-round production activities. The pleasant conditions support outdoor filming and movements from one medical center to the next.

The Center of Filmmaking
L.A. has hospitals willing to accept film crews and residents who can cooperate with street closure notices. The "entertainment capital" regularly hosts producers shooting different projects, including advertisements promoting niche assistance a care center offers or a medical TV drama. Production teams can work with doctors on documentaries or TV drama scripts.

The Food Scene
Los Angeles is the best place to produce a video about gastroenterology, which describes an area of medicine covering the digestive system. Local hospitals have dieticians who provide nutrition services. It's the best place to promote a medical center that can diagnose digestive ailments or advise patients on preventing such illnesses.

Accessibility
Los Angeles has an extensive network of freeways, buses, and rail connecting it to Pasadena and Long Beach. The Vermont Ave/ Sunset Blvd Metro Rail system makes movements between different medical facilities convenient. It enables film crews to move between hospitals throughout the greater L.A. region and move equipment easily.

The Talent Pool
Your project could involve showing how an appointment system works, the range of medical services a cardiology unit offers, or the different specialists a hospital provides. Hollywood has a pool of professional actors, whether your project needs a baby, a family, or a person with a disability for an advertisement.

Filming Companies in Los Angeles

Medical filmmaking focuses on producing instructional and educational videos, and critically acclaimed shows like Grey's Anatomy. You'll need a winning production team, whether you are filming a gastroenterology or cardiology how-to video or a virtual walk-through of a new treatment center and its service. Los Angeles, CA, is called "The Entertainment Capital" for a reason, and you'll get firsthand experience by working with local filming professionals!

Zane Productions
Your project could involve promoting a medical center by showcasing the level of care its employees provide. It could be an instructional video detailing the role of a primary physician or how visitors can schedule appointments using a hospital's website. Zane Productions can produce your video, working with you from concept development to editing. They can cast kids for your advertisement, manage filming locations, and handle post-production, including editing, color grading, and visual effects.

Production Hub
A production manager will make an appointment with cancer care or back surgery specialist or schedule a visit to a potential film location before production. A location scout can help you secure a hospital with a dedicated backyard or a conveniently located medical center on Sunset Blvd. Production Hub is a directory that can connect you with film professionals in Los Angeles, CA.

Universal Prop House
You'll need the advice of a set decorator to know how to set up a filming location, and the service of a set dresser to apply drapery and other furnishings. Afterward, all roads lead to the Universal Studios Lot, where props are spread across three showroom floors. Their inventory includes light fixtures, area rugs, office furniture, and other props.

Customize Your Hospital Shoot: Filming Trends in Los Angeles

A hospital is more than just a care center where patients get treated or access the services of cancer care specialists. You'll get excellent treatment, whether you need urology services, urgent care, or blood work done, from the hospitals in Los Angeles. It also applies to filming a medical video on emergency tips, orthopedics, or pediatrics. Borrow these creative ideas to plan and shoot your documentary, commercial, or drama in the best care facility.

Medical Dramas and Advertisements Produced in Hospital Locations
A Los Angeles hospital offering urology services might want to make an infomercial telling patients about diagnosing and treating urinary diseases. Family doctors could produce videos to pass life-saving health information or to sensitize the community about when to seek medical advice. A hospital is the best setting to create such content and it can also host a film crew working on a medical drama.

Instructional Videos in the Emergency Department
A training hospital can produce instructional videos on diagnosing, treating, and managing head or heart diseases. An emergency room is an ideal backdrop for such critical shoots but most big studios have hospital sets or lots where you can build a custom medical center.

Women's Health Commercials
A primary physician can drum up business by producing content highlighting their inclusion practices or detailing what services they offer women in the community. A cancer care center can also create videos to screen in the facility, to give patients hope and encouragement during their treatments. A hospital or medical center in Los Angeles can provide the backdrop for such shoots.

Medical Filming Services
Clinics regularly create videos to play in their waiting rooms, detailing when to visit and how to access their services. Several production companies in Los Angeles produce medical content, and they can cast actors to portray patients in a hospital.

June 19th, 1865 is an important date historically because it symbolizes freedom. General Gordon Granger and troops of Union soldiers marched to Galveston, Texas, to start life as free men. Long Beach takes a walk down history annually to celebrate Black history and culture.

Cruise Night
Escape to Glendale, a Los Angeles County metropolis in the San Fernando Valley region, for the annual Cruise Night. A fun fact is that Glendale hosted the inaugural Cruise Night when the Pasadena Rose Bowl was hosting the 1994 FIFA World Cup.
