About the Space
The Exit from the museum room leads into what was once a monastic Cloister; the Chapel Cloister. The splendid doorway leading into the chapel was carved by a renowned master mason of his time, Edward Kinsman. The chapel cloister is clothed with memorial slabs commemorating former staff, students and brothers. Its beautiful stone décor enables one to get a sense of what once was, reliving the rich history whilst enjoying your event, be that a reception or dinner. Chapel Cloister Capacity: 60 for reception or 40 seated for dinner – Daytime (9am – 5pm) £710.00 * – Evening (6pm – 10pm) £950.00 *Charges may apply for Museum closure Guide to venue hire rates: – Rates are exclusive of VAT. – Catering and any extra equipment charged in addition. – Depending on the type of event, some spaces might require more time for setup and a breakdown - extra charge may apply. – Rates are based on individual room hire and non-exclusive use of the Charterhouse. These can be revisedon case by case basis considering multiple venue hire. Please note that the published rate and minimum # of hours to book are flexible and it depends on the type of event, days of the week, timings & number of guests.
