About
Hi guys, I've been in the industry for years and still loving how every day looks differently.
I am managing 3 locations which can get a bit busy. Regardless, I am here to help. Please reach out for any questions.
Sets are great and location manager was extremely pleasant; however, the photos were misleading as the set isn't actually lit like the photos. If you want the overhead lights on, it's an additional $500 just to get it to look like the photos on giggster.
We rented this set for 3 days and a total of 28 hrs. The set was what we needed for our production but it has a few pros and mostly cons.
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING!!!
PROS
1. An attendant is required to be on set. But the attendants we had were very friendly and great. They were chill and helpful. They need a raise and do all the hands on work for the set.
2. The space has many awesome unique sets and are open to all kind of content being filmed. They allowed us to shoot adult film in the set, which is awesome.
CONS- Please read before booking!!!
1. The management is very aggressive about payment. We had to end up paying for a few extra things on set. The attendant had to stop us filming. Cut into our time and make payment. It gave us severe anxiety and isn't fair for us to spend our time doing that.
2. They have several add on's that are expensive. That they don't message/ confirm with you about. This includes using the lighting at the space. The space is a large warehouse so without there overhead lighting you cant really use the space effectively. It is 500 a day on top of paying hourly for the space. They failed to mention this is us so we used the lighting overhead for half of the 9 hrs we had booked the first day and then they mentioned we owed them 500 per day. It need to be clearly said and confirmed with a person before they book.
3. They had an attendant on set to maintain and keep the place safe. We were shooting adult film, which means we had several people naked through out the day. We had a few cases but specifically a random woman who wandered in. Luckily she didn't see anything but she could have. That makes it so my cast is unsafe and we were paying specifically for an attendant, which is required for that not to happen.
4. They should not book tours during days the place is booked. We spent our time and energy to come to thr space. You shouldn't have other people coming to view on days it's booked. I understand people need to make money. But if the person likes thr space they can wait until a day it's free to book or have a specific day per week only for tours. Not fair to people booking it.
5. I had a few problems with the attendants coming into the wardrobe area when talent was changing. I specifically was changing and the attendant came in looking for me to make payment for the lights. I was mid changing still naked. I'm fine with nudity but not for someone I didn't consent too seeing me naked. It's not okay and should never happen again.
6. I had a crew member get hurt and he was bleeding. The first attendant, who is newer didn't have a first aid kit. I later learned you had some he apparently didn't know where they were. More initial/ remedial training needs to happen.
7. Many things in the set are unsafe. Especially in the office set. The conference room table needs fixed. They did warn us. But they should take the large portion of money we gave them to make sure the whole set is functional and we could've had someone get seriously hurt.
8. Lastly. The space was crazy dirty. The desks in the office are crazy dirty. They had dust all over them and nothing had been sanitized. They knew we were going to be shooting adult. To make the set safe and usable I had to spend our own time cleaning. They should've cleaned the space or charged us a cleaning fee. It's unexceptable to subject people to have to sit in dirt especially if they knew we were going to be naked on the furniture.
In conclusion. The space has a unique look and worked for what we wanted. The attendants were great and chill. But we spent over 6K for 28 hrs. If you rent they space expect to pay alot, for it to to be unclean, potentially have unregistered guests walking around, and pay an extra 500 to 1000 in hidden fees they failed to confirm before booked. I'd strongly advise on not booking it, definitely not worth the money/ headache from the company that owns it.
Good parking and good sets- but hated the booking process. Very slow responses, not accommodating to time changes. It's clear that whoever runs the email/giggster (Jo) works remotely and has never met the employees. No phone number to call.... Also, there are lots of warehouses around so beware of noise!
