About

You already got to know me, but here's my bio and company bio. Chevy K. Chen is a native Californian, who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently lives in Los Angeles. Before film and television, Chevy studied to be a percussionist and jazz drummer, but recognized his other passion in life; storytelling. He was accepted into the University of Southern California’s school of Cinematic Arts program and emphasized in cinematography and post production sound. After USC, he freelanced and ran an after school production program in Inglewood, CA where he taught basic and post production to children ages 7 to 15. In 2009, Chevy’s first producing credit was on the full feature documentary, JEALOUS OF THE BIRDS (JOTB), directed by fellow USC alumni, Jordan Bahat. It was accepted at the Sheffield Doc/Fest, Doc NYC, and Rhode Island film festival, winning Best Original Score at Rhode Island. After JOTB, he continued to work with Bahat in various music videos and productions. In 2011, Chevy joined Master Key (MK) Productions as a visual effects producer and assisted on shows COVERT AFFAIRS, JUSTIFIED, OFF THE MAP, and SUITS. His ambitions to produce were continued at MK, where he headed the production department and specialized in Foreign Unit Shoots for MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D, COVERT AFFAIRS, 12 MONKEYS, ROYAL PAINS, and HERO’S REBORN. Serving as Senior Vice President at MK 2013-2015, Chevy produced film and television in over 35 countries for them. In 2015, Chevy co-founded FIREGLORY Pictures with Christine Günther to specialize in International Unit Production Service and original developments that emphasize bold, international viable content, with diversity in front and behind the camera. In 2019, Chevy produced Kiss Me Kosher (Kiss Me Before It Blows Up) – a romantic comedy, The Most Fearless – a feature documentary, and co-produced the feature drama Home: All three films plant to release in 2020/21. Chevy is a member of the Producer Guild of America since 2012 and recipient of the PGA’s Mentorship program in 2016. He serves on the International Committee, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and New Media council.
