I purchased the ranch in 2017 to create a space for friends and family to make art and music. I quickly discovered how photogenic the space is and was constantly being asked by friends to film music videos there. It has since evolved into a filming location.
This location was incredible to film at! It had everything we needed and more! There are so many unique spots throughout the property that it made it difficult to choose which ones to use for our project. The location looked even better in person and was in great shape, clean, and with plenty of space to leave our equipment and personal items during the shoot. The size of the property is massive, with ample desert landscape and dry lake bed to film at for those inspiring golden hour/sunset lighting shots. The host was amazing and very accommodating to our exact needs for this shoot. Communication was great and I received responses back to every question I had within minutes. I was also sent very clear and detailed information about the property prior to the filming date, which allowed for a super smooth load in/load out process and no guesswork as to where everything was. This made the shoot much less stressful and kept us from unnecessarily wasting time trying to find things/navigating the property from one scene to the next. We also loved the feeling of quiet seclusion and wide open space and felt that it really benefited the performance as it pulled the actors into character much more deeply than a typical film set. Overall, we had an amazing time filming here and would highly recommend this location to anyone!
Beautiful location! Our short film shoot was perfect. I highly recommend it. Amber was very gracious and a pleasure to work with. If I ever have another ranch or desert shoot, I will definitely shoot here. The footage came out amazing thanks to this beautiful place
