This Victorian townhouse in the historic city of York was built in 1864. It has been the home to prominent city merchants, including a fellmonger, lawyer, and lace merchant. two Lord Mayors of York, the clerk to the Guardians of York workhouse, and a home for "wayward" girls. It has recently been refurbished to its former glory retaining its grand style but with a modern twist. it is a gentle 5-10 mins walk from the city centre, York Minster and all the historic sites. There are 8 beautiful rooms (some triple, others double occupancy, a guest lounge and breakfast room with period Marble fireplaces and a small courtyard garden and fenced off car park that can take 8 cars. In addition to the areas used for guests, there is a large island kitchen and dining area (with its own medieval well discovered during refurbishment.), private sitting room and cellars that could be used for filming
