This is a genuinely beautiful property, and I can absolutely see why it would be a great location for photographers, productions, or smaller shoots. The grounds are gorgeous, photograph beautifully, and I imagine the process could be very straightforward when the use of the space is limited and clearly defined. Unfortunately, my experience hosting an actual event here was very different. I booked the property for a birthday celebration because the listing gave the impression that we were renting the venue as represented online. After touring the property, we learned that our access was essentially limited to the outdoor grounds. By that point, the cancellation window had already passed. We initially booked for approximately 30 guests and later communicated that our count would be closer to 45, still below the listed maximum capacity of 60. We also extended our rental time and paid the additional fee. Two days before the event, however, the host raised concerns about the updated guest count and indicated that she was considering canceling. This resulted in hours of stressful back-and-forth at the absolute worst possible time, after months of planning and significant spending with caterers, entertainment, rentals, décor, and other vendors. There was also a request for an additional $800 payment outside of Giggster, which was later returned and ultimately handled through the platform. Regardless of how it was resolved, having the venue suddenly feel uncertain just 48 hours before the event was incredibly stressful. The property itself is stunning. My concern is specifically with using it as an event venue. There seemed to be a disconnect between the listing, the actual areas available for use, the stated guest capacity, and what was ultimately expected once the event approached. For a photo shoot or production, I would imagine this could be a wonderful location. For anyone considering hosting an event here, I would strongly recommend confirming in writing exactly which areas of the property are included, your final guest count, all fees, and any restrictions before the cancellation window closes.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this home and our experience at the Wits End House! If you can believe it, it's even MORE stunning in person, and we had such an easy, positive experience with the lovely Kari. I wish I could give a thousand stars!!!!
