About the Space
The Yard Bar is located on the lower level of the decked area in the middle of the Arts complex backyard. This large open yard is a flexible space, used in the summer for outdoor gigs and stand-up comedy. In the winter, marquees and gas heaters are set up to keep guests comfortable. The bar offers a range of beers on tap, as well as wines, spirits, and cocktails. Every summer, a series of outdoor events takes place in the space. The Yard Bar is also available for exclusive hire for parties, performances, and gigs—either as a standalone venue or as an extension of adjoining indoor spaces. Positioned at the center of the Arts complex, the Yard Bar and decking are directly accessible from the main hall, the Society Room, the Scene Dock, and the Living Room.
