The Country House

About the Space

Traditionally built of Yorkshire stone in the seventies, has its own private spring water supply that runs down from the hillside - worth a sample. It is surrounded by hills and open countryside which fringe the unique open moors. Originally a private residence, and then a bed and breakfast, has now opened its doors to become a contemporary exclusive use, Self-Catering, property for guests to take over and make their own for 3+ nights. There 5 stunning bedrooms, all have their own private bathrooms and individually decorated and have TVs. Most of the rooms can be twin or doubles and one has an additional sofa-bed option. The self-catering country kitchen is fully fitted with an electric oven and, for those familiar, also houses a fully functioning Aga. All cutlery and crockery is also included and use of two fridges and microwave. There is additionally a utility area with a washer and dryer. The house can host up to 10 guests, but able to seat up to 27 in a private dining room. Should you wish to have a larger event, we can accommodate up to 50 people (seated and standing). Along with a welcome room, there is a wonderful lounge to meet altogether and for the colder months there is a fireplace that can be lit. The Country house also boasts of amazing views at on all sides and have a stunning wrap around outdoor area you can enjoy with your group. Guest access: Private parking onsite. Lots of stunning walks, hikes and cycling in the area. Other things to note: We have open log fires perfect for the winter nights Large Kitchen with an Aga style oven (microwave and all other kitchen equipment). Superb outdoor terrace suitable for socialising or alfresco dining, drinks or bbqs (Available to hire * pre-booking required). Well behaved pets are welcome.
