Sets in over 200 acres of private parkland and beautiful gardens in the picturesque Ayrshire countryside, this is an A-listed Regency Castle with characters and charm. The Castle has 15 individually designed luxurious bedrooms and 4 stunning and versatile function rooms which are ideal for location shootings or filming projects. We have hosted many famous film/TV productions in the past, the most famous one being the Oscar-winning film "The Queen" by Helen Mirren, in which the Castle was used as a double for Balmoral Castle in the movie. The Castle is surrounded by beautiful trees and 200 acres of parkland, a long drive from the gate house to the Castle gives it an "enchanting forest" feel. There is a massive front lawn area, as well as a flower garden to the side of the Castle building with stunning views of rolling Ayrshire countryside. The front lawn can also be used as a helipad and is big enough to take 4 - 5 helicopters landing at the same time. There is a lovely garden pond 5 min walk from the Castle surrounded by trees, and many forestry walking paths on the estate featuring a tree trail, providing numerous outdoor filming opportunities. The castle is available for Events, Meetings and Photoshoots/Filmshoots.
