Internationally renowned architectural ceramist Kay Aplin has transformed her home into a living work of art and created a permanent showcase of her ceramic installations. The award winning house is also a pop-up gallery, artist residency, unusual guesthouse and a project space investigating the intersections between ceramic and sound art practice. In addition to the three-story house, there is a white-cube gallery in the garden. Many surfaces inside and outside are covered with colourful relief tiled surfaces, providing a unique “Gaudiesque” environment which really is like walking into another world. The house can be used for photoshoots, exhibitions, publications, film and performance events. There is free parking available on the street.
