About the Space

Note: Currently only allowing gatherings that max out at 30-35 people. Lower rates available for shoots over 8 hours. Huge space (over 2,500 thousand square feet) with a massive atrium skylight letting in tons of natural light in the heart of the east village. House has massive patio garden which is accessed through the kitchen. I bought this house in 1996 and completely renovated it in 2003. It's surrounded by lush community gardens on three sides so it's truly an oasis in the city. For shoots, note that the house is almost completely sound proof - extremely quiet! The house is spectacular - striking modern, industrial design, and high ceilings inside; outside a patio garden with a pergola is illuminated with fairy lights at night.The living room has a fireplace and a dining room table that seats 8-10. Kitchen is modern with top of the line appliances and bar seating for 5 as well as banquette seating for an additional 5. There is a BBQ in the garden and a table that seats 6 with an extra 8 chairs. There is also a recently added fire pit table! Additional table and chairs can be loaned. House has central air, Wi-fi, a fireplace, as well as speakers throughout including in the backyard which allows you to play music through your phone using the Bluetooth. Local street parking is usually easy to find. Set up and break down need to be included in your booking time. When booking please make sure you allow yourself enough time to get the space ready for your event + time to break down and leave the house in good shape. Early arrivals will be accommodated within a 15 minute window without an additional charge. Late departures will be charged after a 15 minute grace period from the official booking stop. Additional rates may apply for use of upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. THIS SPACE IS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR LOUD, ROWDY PARTIES WITH DANCING. It’s important to know that this is my primary residence. The ideal guest is someone who is clean, appreciates beautiful design, and will take care of the house. Day rates (rentals over 8 hours) available.

    I was lucky enough to host my 30th birthday party at Alex's home -- I was looking for a spacious & unique environment for ~30 people to make the occasion memorable and it absolutely delivered! Alex was tremendously helpful coordinating any logistics leading up to my event, as well as responsive during my event while we had some quick questions about music speakers, lighting, etc. Overall I'd absolutely recommend her home to anyone hosting small to medium sized events.

    We booked the townhouse for a shoot and it did not disappoint. Amy was lovely to work with and so accommodating. The shoot was amazing. We had wonderful lighting and location options and the details in the home added to the overall mystique.

    It was a perfect place for our summer birthday BBQ. Alex was a gracious and very responsive host. The place has a large outdoor deck that was more than enough room for our 20 person party. The indoor area is also expansive and was uniquely decorated which gave a fun vibe.

    This venue was absolutely gorgeous - the host was incredibly accommodating and clear about how to use the speaker system and all house amenities - it was the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor safe space, with ample room for hanging out, dining, and fun! I will absolutely be returning!

    This space was amazing! It exceeded my expectations in every way, from the funky decor to the size of the space to the helpfulness of the host. We had an amazing event for 20 people and would not hesitate to go back.
