About the Space

An enchanting and warm, rustic aesthetic, with open wooden beams in the roof, red brick walls and plenty of atmosphere. Known as an Essex barn by design, it was originally used as a storage area for farm equipment and dates back to the 17th Century. Over the last 10 years it has been slowly transformed into an enchantingly atmospheric entertainment venue. It also acts as a mini theatre, complete with stage, full lighting and sound. The venue is just outside Rochford, a town near Southend-on-Sea in Essex. The farm entrance is at the beginning of a tree-lined drive leading to the Red Brick Barn. There is plenty of free parking outside. The barn has a main area/auditorium and reception entrance and stage with full lighting and sound system. The barn offers a kitchen with running hot and cold water, industrial sized fridge/freezer, plenty of surface space with a serving hatch that can act as a bar to supply food and drink to the auditorium. There is also another room adjacent to the kitchen that has access to the stage, it can be used as a dressing room or as storage for coats, tables and chairs.
