About the Space
The Lost Village of Dode, abandoned over 600 years ago due to the Black Death, is now a place of silence, stillness and reflection and provides a unique space for productions, music videos and also nurturing the circle of life through rites of passage for all. Shrouded in romance and history the church is the ideal place to for a truly unique ceremony. The church has been silently standing guard over the lost village for centuries and is the most appropriate place to celebrate the joy of marriage celebrating the love of two people, or the passing of a loved one from this world to the next. Down a narrow path, entry is through a solid oak and iron studded door. Once inside, the ancient stone and flint walls and beautiful oak beamed ceiling all lit by candlelight and flaming torches will capture your imagination. The delightful smell of English herbs and straw laden floors will arouse a distant memory of a time when somehow life was simply more beautiful.
