About the Space

Open Source Arts runs a vibrant performance space, resource centre and meeting space near Leeds city centre. The venue is a converted industrial unit, with unique murals inside and out. Indoor spaces: - dance studio with sprung oak floor, PA and movable studio mirrors; - meeting space (flexible concrete floored space, we can provide furniture per your requirements) - cafe/hot desk space with kitchen - sewing workshop area - wood metal workshop area Outdoor space: - yarden with a wide range of plants in movable planters, bespoke wooden benches and an outdoor performance space with pergola. Our venue has been used for board meetings, rehearsal and development, performances (including music, dance, comedy, spoken word and theatre), exhibitions, networking events, public meetings, filming and live-streaming. We can provide additional equipment and services by arrangement, including weather cover for the outdoor space, filming/live streaming equipment and technical support, catering (from teas and coffees to full meals), theatrical PA and lighting, portable stage.
