About the Space

This is a historic home in Santa Paula on 2.09 acres. It is a cultural and architectural masterpiece. The main house was built in 1883 and is approx. 4,153 sf with 7 bedrooms and two bathrooms, all on the second floor. There is a half-bath outside by the kitchen entrance. Gorgeous woodwork throughout, along with wood windows, coving and wood treatments. Downstairs is comprised of a large foyer, formal living room, parlor, dining room, library, pocket doors and the original kitchen. The front and north side are enclosed with a seasonal porch. Two other dwelling units are on the property along with a large barn. One unit is a studio attached to the garage. The other has one bedroom and one bath. The house & historic barn are truly a very unique property like a time capsule where time stopped.

    This place is unbelievable! There are so many interesting spots where to film. It's a shame that our shoot just required the barn, but still... that part was just great. Paul it's been really thoughtful and understanding. He's been the best host, great communication and he was always attentive to safety and making things easy for us in his location. I can't recommend this place enough! Besides it looks great on camera.

    Our shoot was perfect. This location offers so many unique possibilities with tons of options and looks. We not only shot in the house, we shot in the barn too. And Paul is a super amazing host! He really wanted to make sure we were getting everything we needed for our shoot. He is so easy to work with. He really cares! It could not have been any better from start to finish! Will definitely use this location again! I would recommend Paul and this location to anyone!
