Built in 1922, this heritage landmark in the heart of Mount Pleasant is one of Vancouver’s most iconic cultural venues. Located on the second floor, the Library offers a 12 x 21 ft space with wood-panelled walls lined with bookcases. Enjoying bright natural light and historic charm, the Library offers a welcoming and well equipped space perfect to host your next meeting or production. Furnished with a boardroom table and comfortable upholstered chairs, it can host up to 12 guests. It is equipped with high speed fibre wifi, portable TV display with HDMI connection, and Meeting OWL for conferencing video calls. For filming or photo shoot productions, the Library is a versatile space where furniture can be easily removed. Additional practical features include a double loading bay at the entrance (with parking suspension permits available through the City) and convenient street parking nearby. Availability is subject to the venue’s artistic programming and staff scheduling. Discounted rates may be available for artists, non-profits, and community groups. While the Library is relatively quiet, there can occasionally be ambient noise from elsewhere in the venue.
