About the Space
The storybook architect-designed old-world-charm house is a unique structure set on a prominent location with amazing light from sunrise to sunset. Almost every room in this two story house from 1923 has carved wood fixtures, raw stone, stone inlay and stained glass windows. Unique original features include 3-D relief murals, nine built-in sconce lights adorned with floral touches. The most striking room is the entryway, with a 11-foot tall arts and crafts-inspired arched stain glass window. The entryway ceiling is over 25 feet tall and features a Juliet balcony and a "Norman Village" with external features on the inside of the entryway. The French architect, Jean-Louis Egasse put it best when asked in 1923 where he got inspiration, “In this particular instance, Norman lines, such as were left by the descendants of the Vikings, following their peregrinations of an ante-mediaeval period, were the main source of inspiration. Saxony and Northern Italy were also borrowed from in carrying out the exterior. The curves and arches, although not symmetrical, are all geometrically related, in order to create an ensemble of harmonious lines suggestive of spiritual truths.” Some of the long-time neighbors still call the house "The Good Will Hunting House" since Matt Damon and Ben Affleck rented the house from a previous owner during the time they were working on their award winning screenplay. There is a lot of creative energy remaining in the house. Note that there is plenty of flat, open space right outside the back door into the main filming area of the house. There is plenty of unlimited street parking in this film-friendly area of Eagle Rock. Rooms are bigger in person than what they seem like in pictures. We are sorry, but we are currently not accepting student projects. For passion projects and the like, please note that we are unable to grant deep discounts or accept tax deduction proposals.

This is the second time I’ve filmed at David and Myanna’s home and it was such a pleasure! It’s such a unique location and more than that, David and Myanna are probably the most pleasant human beings I’ve ever interacted with in the film industry. I would 100% come back and highly recommend filming here.

This is my first time using the app and I’m glad I had such a great experience , myanna and David are such great host and thoughtful people, they let me and my colleagues do a early scout check a couple days before the shoot , on top that they have such a beautiful home with a lot of character to it this house is such a rare gem

Amazing historic home and very friendly and accommodating owners!

On top of this being a truly unique and charming home to film in, Myanna was a kind and gracious host. She was always reachable if we had a question, but never in the way. Her flexibility in regards to us scouting was a big help as well. The gate with the arch over it at the end of the driveway can make it difficult for larger vehicles to enter (I wouldn't try a cube truck), but we were able to get a G&E sprinter inside, even with some items stored on top. Space in the house can be tight depending on where you're filming and how big your crew is, but there's a larger back patio and an upper driveway by a shed that can be utilized for crafty/catering/staging. All in all, definitely worked for us. And lastly, the neighborhood is quiet and doesn't seem to mind filming. Definitely worth a look!

Had a wonderful time shooting at the fab location. What a gem it was, so much variability & a very unique location for Los Angeles. The owners were so generous, and amazing to work with. Couldn't recommend this place anymore than I have. Thanks, - Chris Crema
