Just one hour from Los Angeles and located within the secondary studio zone, this site offers dramatic natural light, quiet isolation, and authentic topography ideal for narrative filmmaking and commercial shoots. As a USC film student who produced a short film at Artfarm in March 2025, I couldn't recommend them enough! On a cinematic level the space is incredibly expansive and provides you with a plethora of options--I'm sure you could achieve all sorts of genres here--and Saskia, the location manager, is just wonderful to work with. She was super flexible and considerate to our creative vision, and made the entire process smooth and fruitful for all parties. At the ranch itself, the staff was exceptionally proactive and kind when they helped us with power issues and logistics questions, all while being really fun to work with. If you think Artfarm could work for your film--I'd fully encourage you work with them!

Just wrapped on a USC junior thesis film here, and I am so lucky I found this location! Saskia is so incredibly kind, she is super supportive of student filmmakers and is very willing to work with you to help you get what you need. She is so flexible and so willing to help. We shot in the forest, which is a super cool location. There was a perfect bramble-filled clearing that was perfect for my creepy horror film, and beyond that there's more wild woods. Filming here was so much easier than trying to film in a public forest. There are so many different locations on the ranch and Saskia is super willing to help you transform any space into what you're looking for. I highly recommend this place, especially for any student filmmakers trying to make their life easier!

We had such a wonderful time filming at the ArtFarm. Saskia was so welcoming and accommodating to our film's needs, and it was a really fun environment that brought out a lot of creativity. We were able to use one of their Yurts that made for the perfect actor holding area and there were ample places to set up - we had two "base camps" throughout the day based on our two filming areas. Getting to film in an environment that supports creativity made a world of difference, compared to some of our other film locations that weren't as familiar with the filmmaking process. Come to find out, both Saskia and two of her adult children work in film, so they understood the needs of our production and were able to be a great resource to us! This is a hidden gem, definitely worth checking out for your next project!

This is such An amazing place to film at. We were here for 2 days, overnight and it was so nice to film here. Saskia is such a nice person, very helpful and very sweet and she literally made sure we had no trouble about anything. We thought filming here overnight would be hard, but she made it so easy for us. It was really really cold so did make sure that we had heaters set up in rooms. She was sweet enough to let us film in her house as well as we needed to film an apartment scene. But the best part, I found 4 locations in 1 place and I shot 75% of my film here at a great price! She made sure the places were cleaned up for us and also after us as we brought some sand in the trailers and cleared out some stuff that we did not need from her own warehouse. It was an amazing shoot, thanks to her helpful nature and immense help. Would surely recommend !

Super great space with such a vast variety of filming areas. We needed a "camping clearing" and there were so many areas that worked so well. The people were friendly and informative! They also responded on super short notice which was great!
