About the Space
The Brookstead is a production-friendly modern traditional estate located in the San Fernando Valley, offering abundant natural light, high ceilings, versatile shooting spaces, and seamless production logistics. Interior designed by Sarah Sherman Samuel, the home features a bright, neutral palette of whites, light woods, and carefully curated finishes that provide a flexible backdrop for commercial, editorial, lifestyle, interview, and branded content productions. The main living spaces feature high 20-foot ceilings in the entry, living room, and dining room. The primary suite offers 15-foot ceilings and exceptional natural light throughout the day. A distinctive secondary living space ("the Lady Nook") features built-in bookshelves, arched openings, a fireplace, and multiple styling possibilities, making it ideal for use as a living room, office, library, or bedroom set. The backyard overlooks the rolling hills of the Mulholland Reserve and offers multiple production-ready environments, including a uniquely shaped pool, expansive lawn areas, custom black pergola, white stucco fire pit, raised garden beds, mature olive trees, citrus trees, and lush landscaping filled with white roses, rosemary, lavender, sage, agave, and wisteria. The property is particularly well suited for commercial campaigns, lifestyle photography, interviews, editorial shoots, home brands, beauty brands, furniture companies, and content productions seeking a clean, elevated California aesthetic. The Brookstead was everything we were looking for and more for our production. The homeowner was incredibly helpful on our tech scout. Our site-rep was very sweet. The home was filled with light, which is just what our photographer was looking for. We made use of the backyard and were even allowed to have our talent dip their feet in the pool. We parked our motorhome down the street and were able to rent a neighbors driveway for catering breakfast & lunch. The pictures came out great and we'd 10 out of 10 recommend this house to any other production. Thanks again!

This is a beautiful house. The decor and remodel are perfect and modern and the yard features beautiful landscaping. it is quiet and secluded, but still close enough for good options.
