About the Location For over 900 years, Belvoir Castle has stood majestically above the Vale of Belvoir, offering one of England’s most distinctive historic settings. The fourth castle to occupy this hilltop site, it has been the ancestral home of the Manners family for over 500 years and remains the family residence of the 11th Duke and Duchess of Rutland. Gardens, Grounds & Estate Set within a spectacular 16,000-acre estate spanning the surrounding countryside, Belvoir offers far more than its grand interiors. Formal gardens, historic parkland, woodland and sweeping countryside views provide additional opportunities for outdoor filming, photography and creative projects. The gardens reflect generations of landscape design, from the terraces commissioned by the 5th Duchess of Rutland in 1815 to the later work of renowned designer Harold Peto. A further 52 bedrooms are available across nine estate houses and cottages, providing additional accommodation options for selected bookings. Selected spaces accommodate meetings, events and weddings for up to 150 guests, with private dining for up to 120 guests.
