About the Space

Nestled in the Waveney Valley on the Suffolk/Norfolk border, Wingfield Barns is a beautiful collection of timber framed farm buildings, sympathetically converted to their current state in the late 1990s. Gathered around a central courtyard, the Barns include the Great Barn, 3 separate studio spaces, two of which are art galleries, and landscaped gardens. The galleries feature white walls, hardwood flooring and vaulted beamed ceilings. The art studio is a creative workshop space. The Great Barn is a full height 16th Century timber framed barn, with exposed beams and original wattle and daub pannelling. Tiled floors flow throughout, and the mezzanine above the foyer area offers spectacular views through to the roof space of the main room. Outside, the terrace overlooks the stepped lawn, surrounded by mature trees and hedges.
